Here are some Christmas stockings I made
to hang with my garland, can't wait to
put them out this year.

Leaf Pillow Project:

I found this idea from
another blog but I can't remember the site.
They are place mats from Walmart and you un-pick
a small spot and stuff with batting. They were on sale
for $1.50 a piece so this was a cheap and easy project.

Here is my little girl's blessing dress. No I didn't
make it but I did make her booties since I wanted them to
match and because shoes are just too expensive for kids.
The bootie idea was created by a wonderful crafty women
at: "Make it and Love it"

Yet another hair bow for the little T.

I love to make beanies and I learned how to do
the puff stitch and liked the way it turned out.
Now I need to make myself one.

from the bag I made that is the post after this one.

Fall Craft and Bag Projects

Last year my mom and I made the pumpkin centerpiece.
This year I added a place mat to go with it and I got the
idea from "Make it and Love it. "

I needed a bag/purse that I could use for
when I am going out by myself so I don't have to haul
around the diaper bag. So my friend Sarah M. helped me
make this bag. I love this fabric. You may not be able to tell
that is a corduroy fabric. I had never sewn with corduroy
before this and it wasn't bad at all.

I added this double layer fabric flower for an accessory.

Buckeye Onsie

I got the idea from a friend to make a Ohio State onesie for
our little girl. It was easy to make and a fast project too.

Had to make her a matching hair bow too!!

Hair Accesories anyone???

I simply can't get enough of making hair bows for Tatum and I. Here are a few hundred I have made in the last few months.

Headbands are another obsession I have had lately. They are so cute.


I made this apron for my older sister's birthday. I hope she likes it.
My sister wanted to give her brother in law their new baby a changing pad so this is the one I ended up making. I love the baseballs for a little boy. Here is the tutorial link for it

Sewing Obsession

I wanted to make a portable changing pad since I am so disgusted by public changing tables and my friend sent me a blog that had an easy tutorial. I love how it turned out and it makes changing my baby in public places more pleasant. Here is the link for the tutorial:


The inside part is just black vinyl so it wipes easily to keep germs out.
Fabric side all folded out.
I decided to re-vamp my "hooter-hider" into a kitchen apron. I have about 4 different "hooter-hiders" and decided I liked this fabric combination too much so I changed it up to an apron. I like having a reversible one so I can have two different looks. LOVE polka DOTS and flowers.

Another project I have had fun making are these skirts for babies. They are made from old jeans and stretchy t-shirt material or spandex material. It's a quick project and great gift ideas.

After making my car seat cover a friend from work asked if she could buy one from me. It was so fun picking out fabric to go with her personality.

Onesies

Here are a few onesies I have made for my daughter and for gifts.
I just love the ruffles on the legs.



This one is called the "Tater Bug". I had fun adding the ruffles on the neckline and the bum.

Here is a gift set for a little boy. Love the little tie and the fabric went so cute with it.
Here is a gift set I made for one of my good friends from work. I made her two different burp rags, a matching onesie and flower clip to attach to a head band.

Sew Happy!!

For Sewing club in August we learned how to make pillow case dresses. I didn't have a pillow case but plenty of fabric to make one. They are so easy to make and I can't wait until it fits Tatum. This is a 3-6 month size. The cute part about them is they can be a dress when they are little and then a shirt with some cute jeans when they get older. SO fun!!
I had made this blanket about 2 years ago and held on to it just in case I got pregnant with a little girl......Tatum just loves it especially the silky edges.

I made these tag squares for some baby gifts for friends. They are about the size of a hand towel.
Great gift ideas. You can never have too many burp cloths.

Bows, Head bands, Magnets, and Pendants.

So awhile back I had experimented and made some bows out of ribbon. It was my first attempt and some of them turned out better than others in my opinion. I sold most of these to a friend from work. I plan on getting better at them so Tatum can wear them of course.
My friend Sara taught me how to make these darling binkie clips that have such cute "bling" on them. I also like to make the headbands out of tights for little girls. They stay so well on their heads and are pretty soft and comfortable.
These bottle cap magnets were a project that my friend Kristen had sent me to make. They were fun to do and to have up on the fridge. She has her own website with fun project kits you can buy. She also taught me how to make the cute necklace pendants below. These two projects were about two years ago in the fall time.
