Frog Beanie

I have been making beanies for over 6 years now and think this is my favorite one by far. I have a few friends that have been making the "animal" themed beanies and so I decided that our little girl needed a frog one. Since this beanie I have made a light pink one that looks like a bear with ears on top and then I also made my husband one that is brown but not "animal themed" but does have the ear flaps and he loves it cause it really keeps his ears warm. This is the first time adding the ear flaps on my beanies and it wasn't too hard to figure out either. I can't wait to keep making more. I want to make some owl ones too.
I tied the ear flaps up and it made her look like Elmer Fud. TOO FUNNY!!!

Valentine Crafts

I decided that since I really don't' have too many Valentine's decorations that I would make some instead this year. For this pillow I had finished the stitchery back in 2006 and never got around to making it into a pillow case. I have one for every holiday and always kept putting it off but I am so glad I finished it this year so I could enjoy it.
I used stuff I already had to make this fun " love" frame. I used vinyl lettering on the glass part of the frame and then just put some red and pink paper behind the glass part and instantly I had a new decoration to put up. It looks cute in my half bathroom.
I LOVED making this and loved the way it turned out. I just got a package of deorative wicker balls at the dollar store and then cut out a varity of circles of felt and glued them on. Then added some red hot candies to the vase and it was again stuff I had lying around the house.
I liked the other ball so much so I decided to make one color of each and put them in a dish on our table. My husband said they look like loufa spounges for the shower. I guess they kind of do.

Oh and with my scrap fabric from the pillow I make a small table mat to go under the "loufa's"
