Halloween Yarn Wreath

So I have been on this kick lately making these yarn wreaths and while my mom was out to visit in August we made matching Halloween wreaths together. It was so fun using both our ideas to come up with it. I ended up adding a little wood sign to the top of mine that says Happy Halloween after I took this picture.

My cute and talented mother!!! Had so much fun having her out to visit us. Thanks MOM!!!

Can't get enough of craft time....

I found this pattern in a book at the library and had to make this mother Hen bird with her sweet babies all tucked under her wing. My daughter loves playing with it.

The baby birds have Velcro on the back and there is a strip on the mother to attach them. Then they are all snuggled under their mother's wings. Such a fun and easy project.

Beware there are a lot of pictures of earrings I have made recently and in the past.

These earrings are small rosebuds made from scraps of old t-shirts. They are easy and fun.

Earrings made from scrapbook brads.

Earrings made from buttons.

I have made a dozen of these necklaces for gifts and they are easy and fun.
This is the up close image of the flower that is removable and you can wear in your hair also.

It's hard to see the detail in this picture but I used two different fabrics. One is a satin and the other is an organza(sort of see through) and used clear marbles throughout the necklace.

4th of July Shirt and More....

Because I am too cheap to go buy a patriotic shirt and I never seem to find
a cute one so I decided to make mine this year. I just used scraps I had and it turned out pretty cute. Don't mind the stains around the bottom of the shirt. I guess the food was super tasty on the 4th and I hadn't gotten around to washing it yet.

I made this super easy and fun diaper/wipes case clutch for my spare to have for the pool or for another activity bag. You can never be too prepared and have diapers pretty much every where you go.

It has two different slots to put wipes on one side and diapers on the other. I fit about 4 diapers which is a good amount as long as you keep it stocked up for the next outing.

This picture turned out a little blurry, sorry. This is a corduroy skirt I made for our little girl for when she is a little bigger. I decided to make her clothes that she can grow into and not overload her with clothes right now. She has too many now as it is. It's fun fabric that my mom of course let me have. She is always sending me such cute fabric from stores out in Utah. Thanks MOM!!!

These next few pictures are back from Easter time. I had made these bags for our card club at my house. They were simple and turned out cute

This was my very first attempt at making our daughter a dress and it was pretty easy. I love easy projects and ones you can tweak a little to your own liking.

Back of dress, I love the button idea that looks like overalls.

Fun Yarn Wreaths

A few of my friends got me hooked on making fun yarn wreaths.
At first I thought they would look like something my grandma would make but nope!
So here is the one I made for our front door. It was fun adding flowers, rosettes, leaves, and feathers to add to the detail.

Next I had to make a 4th of July one. It's more simple.

Then I made one for one of my good friends who did me a huge favor.
I love the simple one flower with leaves and feathers to add texture.

Easter Projects

I put together this little easter decoration about 4 years ago. No I didn't make the eggs, I had gotten them a while back and then finally got a vase to put them in and added the moss stuff.

Sorry the lighting was bad in this picture. This project was super fun and cheap. I took a few plastic eggs and some wicker balls from the dollar store and wrapped them in yarn. I love the way it turned out and how easy it was to make.

Here is a closer look at the eggs and balls up close.

This year I wanted to make an Easter garland to go above our fireplace. So I made six different eggs out of felt and there you have it. I am in the process of making another bunny garland out of felt also that I will have to hang somewhere else.
